Luceifer Burke, age 83, of Winchester, KY, husband of Patricia Anne Isaac Burke, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY. He was born May 17, 1942 in Halo, KY, a son of the late Walter & Nannie King Burke. He attended the Old Regular Baptist Church, was U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Wheelwright Lodge No. 889 F&AM. He was also a retired coal miner and retired from the US Postal Service. He also was a former factory worker and worked for Lexmark.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son; Gregory (Brooke) Burke, Van Lear, KY, one daughter; Tonya (Barry) Martin, Lexington, KY, one sister; Yvonne (Tommy) Yonts, Bevinsville, KY, one sister-in-law; Elaine Burke, Columbus, OH, five grandchildren; Joe, Jordan, Aria, Morgan and Logan, five great grandchildren; Ivy, Scotlyn, Irelyn, Karter and Brecklyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Roland Burke, two sisters; Jennifer Breeding and Eloise Newsome, two brothers-in-law; Varnie Breeding and Bert Newsome.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Rock Old Regular Baptist Church, Bevinsville, KY, with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Walter Burke Family Cemetery, Bevinsville, KY. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at Hall Funeral Home with a service Saturday at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at the church, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
