Louise Hall Spears, age 94, of Harold, KY, widow of the late Glenn B. Spears, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her residence. She was born June 28, 1929 in Galveston, KY, a daughter of the late Bruce and Rosa Alley Hall. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, where she was the ladies’ chaplain for many years. She was also a member of the Grethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Wanda Hughes (Marvin), Martin, KY, Glenda Hall (Jackie Conn), Wellington, KY, Connie Hamilton (Terry Hayes), Harold, KY; one sister: Vernice Hall Akers, Vermillion, OH; nine grandchildren: Teresa, Greg, Lisa, Michelle, Scott, Kristin, Shane, Bryanna, Branham and nine great grandchildren: Courtney, Dillon, Emma, Sybil, Kason, Josh, Seth, Cassidy and Carley.
In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by one son: Kenneth Spears; one daughter: Susie Newsome; five brothers: Edward, Omer, Hubert, Vernal and Elmer Hall; three sisters: Melda Martin, Mary and Marie Hall and one grandson: Shawn Newsome.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Debbie Bailey and Greg Frasure officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY and visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home.
