LouAnn Elizabeth (Ries) Hutchinson

LouAnn Elizabeth Hutchinson, age 81, of Covington, KY, formerly of Martin, widow of Rodney Hutchinson, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Covington, KY. She was born January 15, 1942 in New Vienna, IA, a daughter of the late Herbert and Alvina Sabers Ries.  She was a member of the Saint Martha's Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar and Rosary Society and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons; David (Theresa) Hutchinson, Forsyth, MT, Daniel (Natasha) Hutchinson, Plainfield, CT and Dennis (Terra) Hutchinson, Langley, KY, two daughters; Lisa (Bob) Zeller, Elsmere, KY and Debra (Clifford) Jacobs, Martin, KY, two brothers; Gerald and Harold Ries, both of Earlsville, IA, four sisters; Gladys Felton, Sharon Besler, and Karon Demar, all of Dyersville, IA and Jane Linebaugh, Mountain Home, AR, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Lois Johnson and one sister; Ethel Tholander.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martha's Catholic Church, Water Gap Rd., Prestonsburg, KY, with Father Brandon and Father Moriarty officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
