Loretta Lynn (Shepherd) Thacker

Loretta Lynn Thacker, age 60, of Indian Head, MD, formerly of Banner, KY, wife of Keith Thacker, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital, Baltimore, MD.  She was born July 17, 1965 in Martin, KY, to the late Roger Lee and Betty Lou Bray Shepherd.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and retired restaurant owner.

In addition to her husband, Keith, she is survived by one son; Chris Terry (Nicalena), Dana, KY, two daughters; Jamie Blackburn, (Rod), Dana, KY and Ashley Nicole, one brother; Rick Shepherd (Martina), Prestonsburg, KY, two sisters; Fayetta Hall, Dana, KY and Dorothy Ann McKinney (David), Hawesville, KY, three grandchildren; Taylor Ison, Brayden Ison and Tayleigh Yates.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Woots Lee Shpeherd, two sisters; Tonda Sue Hall and Anna Elizabeth Shepherd and one grandson; Damien Terry.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, Dana, KY, burial will follow in the Thacker Family Cemetery, Akers Br., Banner, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, with services each evening at 6 p.m.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Sunday the church.
