Lois Gayle (Hall) Newsome

Lois Gayle Newsome, age 69, of Grethel, KY, widow of Arnold Newsome, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born October 23, 1949 in Grethel, KY, a daughter of the late Curt and Goldie Tackett Hall. She was a  retired clerk with Kroger and a member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons: Arnold Neil (Beverly) Newsome, Teaberry, KY, Chase "CJ" (Morgan) Newsome, Grethel, KY, two daughters; Candy McKay, Pikeville, KY, Shelia Newsome, Gethel, KY, one brother; Drexel Hall, Ivel, KY, six grandchildren; Cody (Sara) McKay, Sophia McKay, Charlee Grace McKay, Brody Newsome, Asher Newsome and Chaselyn Newsome.

Funeral service for Mrs. Newsome will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 3 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery, Grethel, KY. Visitation is Wednesday 6-10 PM and all day Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
