Leonard Nickles

Leonard Nickles, age 95, of Dema, KY, husband of the late Christine Nickles, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born April 15, 1929 in Dema, KY. a son of the late Bee and Dina Jones Nickles. He was a retired station operator for Kentucky West Virginia Gas Company.

He is survived by one son; Ronald (Paula) Nickles, two daughters; Janet (Paul) Michini, Judy Tackett (Delfred Hall), one sister; Glenda Allen, Dayton, OH, five grandchildren; Brian (Candace) Nickles, Greg Slone (Kimberly Van-Gundy), Eric (Kellee) Fugate. Mack Tackett, Andrea Hall (Tony Scott), four great grandchildren: Kyle Slone, Dr. Tyler Slone (Courtney Parker), Dr. Clay (Dr. McKenzie) Nickles, Dylan Slone and a special cousin: Shirley Martin.

In addition to his wife, Leonard was preceded in death by two brothers: Jimmy and Lester Nickles and four sisters: Gracie Branham, Aileen Cook, Mable Slone and Bertha Nickles.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Curtie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery, Dema, KY and visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home.
