Leon Slone

Leon Slone, age 79, of Prestonsburg, KY, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Hazard ARH, Hazard, KY.  He was born May 3, 1946 in Knott Co., KY, a son of the late Cullen and Dallie Waddles Slone.  He was a US Army Veteran and a retired contractor.

He is survived by one daughter; Vicki (Scotty) Mosley, one son; Jimmy (Regina) Slone Brown, seven grandchildren; Heather, Teddie, Angel, Cameron, Ethan, Kaylee and Katelynn, five great grandchildren; Code, Tillie, Cooper, Holden and Knox, one brother; Bruce Waddles, four sisters; Nevalee (John) Ellis, Patty (Greg) Levato, Nancy (Jeff) Conn and Rita (Stan) Stumbo.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother; Demera Slone, two sisters; Gertrude Slone and Debra Waddles.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. CB Scott officiating.  Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East, Hyden, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
