Lawrence (Larry) Birchell Hall, age 70 of Fort Myers FL, formerly of Martin, KY, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Gulf Coast Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. He was born October 11, 1947 in Martin, KY a son of the late Birchell C. Hall and Betty Lou Keathley Hall.
Larry had a passion for the game of basketball, starring for Martin High School as a senior in 1964-65 and bringing home the 15th regional championship for the Purple Flash. After graduating from Martin, he went on to play collegiately for the University of Kentucky.
He was a graduate of Morehead State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree before going on to Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Mr. Hall was the former owner of Hall's Pharmacy and the former Mayor of Martin, KY. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by one son: Michael Hall (Cameron), Ft Myers, FL; two daughters: Kandy Keathley Hall-Duguay (Paul), Ft. Myers, FL, Holli Kay Hall, Ocala FL; ex-wife: Janis Hall, Ft. Myers, FL; one sister: Frankie Craig, Auxier, KY; four grandsons: Avery Hall, Deacon Hall, Owen Lawrence Duguay and Paul Duguay all of Ft. Myers, FL; three granddaughters: Kelsie Virginia Duguay, Madi Duguay and Kristen Duguay all of Ft. Myers FL; one niece: Lila Craig and one great niece: Lilianna Craig.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY a celebration of life will follow at Jenny Wiley State Park, Prestonsburg, KY (cottage 404). A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel.
