Larry Edward Stratton

Larry Edward Stratton, age 78, of Ivel, KY, husband of Gwendolyn Layne Stratton, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his residence.  He was born April 16, 1944 in Ivel, KY, a son of the late Edward S. and Cealia Ann Click Stratton.  He was a retired locomotive engineer with CSX and a US Army Vietnam Veteran.

In addition to his wife, Gwendolyn, he is survived by three daughters; Vanessa (Devon) Akers, Trina Stanley and Kabrina (Tivis) Hall, one brother; Chester Stratton, five grandchildren; Wesley (Jill) Akers, Megan Akers, Jarrett Stanley, Jamison (Kiersten) Stanley and Cheyenne Hall, three great grandchildren; Tate Akers, Clara and Carter Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 31, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Barry Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
