On Tuesday , January 11th, 2022, Larry Floyd Luxmore passed away at home in McDowell, Kentucky, at the age of 53. Larry Floyd was born on April 3rd, 1968 at Pikeville Methodist Hospital in Pikeville, Kentucky to Larry Oliver and Deborah Meade Luxmore. Larry Floyd lived the majority of his life and his educational career in Lexington, Kentucky, where he considers home. Although Larry Floyd continued his education briefly, he didn’t need ti to be successful. Larry Floyd never met a stranger, had a quick wit about him, and definitely had the “gift of gab”. Larry Floyd held several occupations in his life, at which he excelled.
Larry Floyd had a passion for life, always thinking about the next get together with family and friends. Larry Floyd was proud of and adored his family and loved his extended family, particularly cousins, as much as his immediate family. Larry Floyd never had children of his own, but loved his nieces and nephews, and his great niece and nephews.
Survivors include his mother Deborah Meade, of McDowell, Kentucky, father Larry Oliver and (Dorothy) Luxmore of Cadiz, Kentucky, three brothers, Anthony Brent and (Ann) Luxmore of Athens, Tennessee, Rex Ryan Luxmore of Lexington, Tennessee, and Joshua Morgan Luxmore of Cadiz, Kentucky, uncle Sam Meade of Charleston, South Carolina, aunt Jeremia Sue Johnson of Lexington, Kentucky, uncle John Paul Luxmore of Georgetown, Kentucky, uncle Fred Kimball and (Donna)Luxmore of Orlando, Florida, several beloved nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Larry Floyd will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Due to covid-19, there will be a private viewing at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky, on Thursday, 1/13/2022 at 4pm, and graveside service at Boyd Cemetery in Price, Kentucky, on Friday, 1/14/2022 at 10am.
