Larry Dean Adams, age 78, of David, KY, husband of Charlotte Davis Adams, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Riverview Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born April 2, 1947 in Prestonsburg, KY, a son of the late Monroe Adams and Nancy Prater Adams Manuel.
Larry was a member and associate pastor of Garrett First Baptist Church, he was retired Fire Marshall for the City of Prestonsburg, an EMT Instructor, Building Inspector, Director of Operations at Transstar Ambulance Service, State Fire Instructor and also retired Fire Chief of David Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his wife Charlotte, he is survived by two daughters; Amy C. Adams, Prestonsburg, KY and Jeanie (William) Stepp, Sydney, KY, four brothers; Paul, Donnie, Danny and Terry Adams, Prestonsburg, KY, four grandchildren; Johnathan Boyd, Alexis Osborne, Aliya Osborne and Emily Stepp, one great granddaughter; Freya Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents he was preceded in death by one sister; Charlene Baldridge.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Blaine DePoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks Family Cemetery, Hippo, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday until 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday a Celebration of Heroic Life Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
