Kermit Martin

Kermit Martin, age 88, of Drift, KY, husband of the late Doreen Ann Rulton Martin, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the McDowell ARH, McDowell, KY.  He was born October 29, 1933 in Drift, KY, a son of the late Oliver and Stella Ramey Martin.  He was retired from the US Air Force, a retired welder and a member of the American Legion post 283.

He is survived by two sons; David Luke (Marcy) Martin, Fairfield, OH and Kermit J. (Wanda Lois) Martin, McDowell, KY, one daughter; Lorraine Martin, Wellington, KY, one brother; Claude Martin, Kendallville, IN, four sisters; Cora Sue Hall, Drift, KY, Dollie Mae Meade, Printer, KY, Barbara Allen, McDowell, KY and Debbie Martin, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grand children and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one son; Matthew James Martin, two brothers; Pervis Martin and Roger Martin.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY, with burial to follow in the Drift Cemetery, Drift, KY, Military Rites will be conducted by DAV Chapter 128, Minnie, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
