Kay Alice Hale, age 58, of Blue River, KY, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 11, 1962 in Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter of the late Henry C. & Winifred Osborne Hale. She was a retired Educator at the David School and for Kentucky Adult Education. She was also a clerk for the Floyd County Sheriff's Department, a board member for the David School, Floyd County Library and a past member of the Church Housing Board.
She is survived by three sons: Thomas Ross, Blue River, KY, Kevin (Janie) Ross, Auxier, KY, Justin (Ashton) Ross, Paintsville, KY; one daughter: Kari (Bill) Jones, Pittsburgh, PA; three brothers: George (Barbara) Hale, Benjamin Lee (Keane) Hale, both of Blue River, Jonathan C. (Malissia) Hale, Prestonsburg, KY; five grandchildren: Thomas, DeDe, Lucas, Joseph, Lili and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by one sister: Carla Lynn Hale; two brothers: James Henry and Thomas Maryland Hale.
A memorial visitation will take place from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the 1st United Methodist Church, Prestonsburg, KY with a private family memorial service following with Jerri Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the 1st United Methodist Church, 256 S Arnold Ave, Prestonsburg, KY 41653.
