Karen Scott Obituary

   Karen Lynn Phillips Scott, age 63, of McDowell, KY, wife of Dr. C B Scott, died Friday, August 2, 2019 at her residence. She was born June 15, 1956 in Pell City, AL a daughter of the late John Phillips and JoAnn Smith Phillips, Riverside, AL. Karen was a member of the McDowell First Baptist Church, McDowell, an Accountant who was the Human Resource and Business Manager for both the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forrest, NC, and the Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg, PA, and office manager for Enterprise Baptist Association for Eastern, KY.

 

   In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by five sons, David (Tami) Diamond, Knoxville, TN, Joseph B. Scott, Greensboro, NC, John Benjamin (Holly) Scott, Youngsville, NC, Timothy James Reach, Washington, DC, Dr. Stephan Morgan Scott, Birmingham, AL, two daughters; Carrie Nicole Scott and Ashley Lynn Scott, both of McDowell; one brother;  Joel Phillips, Lincoln, AL, and three grandchildren; Brodie Scott, Chloe Scott and Ripley Scott.

 

 

  A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 6 PM in  the McDowell First Baptist Church, McDowell, with Dr. Tim Searcy officiating. Hall Funeral Home, Martin, is caring for those arrangements.
