June Claudette Martin, age 79, of Garrett, KY, widow of Sheridan Ray Martin, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY. She was born June 28, 1943 in Martin, KY, a daughter of the late Garland and Nora Pratt Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Brushy Fork Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons; Rodney Dean (Annette) Martin, of Langley, KY and Kenton Noel (Lisa) Martin also of Langley, KY. Two sisters; Daphne Kay Moore, Langley, KY and Daina Purvis, Eminence, KY. Four grandchildren; Courtney Alyse Martin, Korie (Justin) Swiger, Hannah Zoe Martin, McKinnley Brooke Martin. Three great-grandchildren; Keaton Swiger, Kingston Gayheart, and Kolton Swiger.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Sheri Gayle Martin, Three brothers; Chalmer Martin, Thomas E. Martin, Gaylord G. Martin, Two sisters; Glema Gaye Moore, Fonda Joan Duff.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm with Willie Duff officiating at the Raymond Turner Cemetery, Eastern, KY.
