Obituary
Julia V. Lawson, age 86, of Edmonton, KY, widow of Eugene "Gene" Lawson, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1937 in Betsy Layne, KY a daughter of the late Manuel and Edna Watson Boyd. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons; Rex Lawson, Kellard (Sherry) Lawson, Leonard Dale (Bridget) Lawson all of Edmonton, KY, one daughter; Sandra (Earl) Kidd, Edmonton, KY, one brother; Hazie Boyd, Banner, KY, two sisters; Judy Hopkins, Ypsilanti, MI, Geredia Bronkowski, Edmonton, KY, eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, the son at heart Leroy Madison, Pikeville, KY, one daughter-in-law: Drema Lawson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents she is preceded in death by one son; Tex Lawson, six brothers; Samuel, Billy, Sidney Lee, Aaron, Wilford, Nathaniel Boyd, one sister; Eula Boyd, one daughter-in-law: Jackie Lawson, one brother-in-law; Frank Bronkowski.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, with Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Harvey Cemetery, Honaker, KY, visitation will be Thursday after 3:00 p.m. and all day Friday at the church.
