John Rogers Obituary

John Rogers, age 84, of Harold, KY, husband of Inez Kidd Rogers, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at his residence. He was born June 24, 1935, in Galveston, KY, a son of the late Virgil and Fannie Moore Rogers. He was a member and Minister of the Upper Toler Church of Christ and a carpenter. He loved to hunt, sing and play his harmonica.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children: Brenda (Neal) Spears, Phillip (Freeda) Rogers, Melissa (Vance) Hunter, Sue Rogers, Sheri Rogers (Chester) Burke and John Ed (Danita) Rogers, one brother; Roy Rogers, sixteen grandchildren; Brandy, Jason, Sarah, Jonathon, Dino, Michael, Brian, Kristy, Ashley, Necole, Kimberly, Faith, Haley, Blake, Aaron, Landon and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Beatrice Newsome and Leona Justice, three grandchildren; Paige Tipton, Jenny Ousley and Jonn Anderson, one great grandchild; Mariah Woods.

A private family service and visitation is scheduled with burial to follow in the John Rogers Cemetery, Toler Creek, Harold, KY.
