Joda Elizabeth "Tiny" (Stratton) Butts

Joda Elizabeth "Tiny" Butts, age 100, of Ivel, widow of William "Bill" Butts, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at her residence.  She was born August 17, 1918 in Ivel, a daughter of the late John Nelson Stratton and Nancy Onolda Travis Stratton.  She attended the Toms Creek Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker, seamstress and quilter.

She is survived by her son; John D. Butts, Lexington, KY, sister; Ruth Joann Hall, Prestonsburg, KY and grandson; Eric Ryan Butts.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law; Patsy Hall Butts, five brothers; Charlie, Edward S., Oliver, Billy Estes and John Nelson Stratton JR., four sisters; Mary Stratton, Millie Gibson, Cora Mae Stratton and Zella Ratliff.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Derek Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
