Jimmy Marlin Lawson

Jimmy Marlin Lawson, age 83, of Garrett, KY, husband of Barbara Conley Lawson, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025 at his residence.  He was born May 2, 1942 in Floyd Co., KY, a son of the late Eddie and Harriet Salisbury Lawson.  He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by three sons; Jimmy Lawson Jr. and Putnam Lawson, both of Garrett, KY, Rebel Lawson, Hippo, KY, one daughter; Marlin Ann Lawson, Louisville, KY, two brothers; Rendal and George Lawson, one sister; Brenda Hale, five grandchildren; Cory, Kelsey, Alexander, Heath and Connor, two great grandchildren; Noah and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Willie Duff officiating.  Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with service at 7 p.m. with Willie Crace officiating.
