Jimmie Douglas Hopkins, age 77, of Wayland, KY, husband of Rosemary Bradley Hopkins, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born June 30, 1947 in Martin, KY, a son of the late James Blaine and Virginia Robinson Hopkins. He was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church and a retired teacher and coach.
In addition to his wife; Rosemary, he is survived by his son; Douglas A. (Charla) Hopkins, daughter; Jennifer (Dan) Ballman, all of Wayland, KY, one brother; Gary Hopkins, Warner Robins, GA, two sisters; Sharon K. (Steve) Mullins, Morehead, KY and Melinda G. (Jesse) Osborne, Eastern, KY, four grandsons; Connor Hopkins, Jaxson Goble, Grant Ballman and Hudson Ballman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Jack Howard and Brent Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery, Wayland, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
