Jeanetta Sue Layne, age 75, of Betsy Layne, KY, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 3, 1945 in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of the late Robert Edgar and Lillian Leatha Walters Layne. She was a member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church and a retired clerk for Velocity Market.

She is survived by one daughter: Samantha (Edward) Clark, Betsy Layne, KY, one brother; William Andrew (Dorothy) Layne, Harold, KY, two sisters; Alva Jane (Raymond) Ratcliff, Prestonsburg, KY, Patricia Ann Hall, Logansport, IN, one brother-in-law; Harvey Maynard, four grandchildren; Justin (Alyssa) Kidd, Kayla (Brandon) Hall, Steven Clark and Rebecca Clark, six great grandchildren; Oakley, Shiloh, Callie, Caden, Brody and Kharis, two lifetime special friends; Glema Layne and Ethel Sturgill, both of Betsy Layne.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister; Lila Maynard and one brother-in-law; Claude Hall.

A Private visitation and funeral service will be conducted at the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church with Barry Clark and Tracy Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY.
