James Riley Hall, age 90 of Allen, KY, husband of Minnie Alice Music Hall, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 in the Highlands Appalachian Regional Hospital, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born October 1, 1934 in Allen, KY a son of the late Riley and Florence Hall. He was a farmer and businessman, a member of Allen Baptist Church and a 1st Legacy Farmer in Floyd County as declared by Kentucky Farm Bureau.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons: James Riley Hall Jr. (Sherry), Jeffrey Gale Hall (Laneva) and Ray Douglas Hall (Lisa) all of Allen, KY; one brother: Fred Hall, Allen, KY; one sister: Anna Gunnel, Panama City, FL; seven grandchildren: Connie Lynne Hall Winburn, James Riley Hall III, Jason Denver Hall, Alice Michelle Hall, Rachell Taryn Hall, Stetson Kyle Hall, Christopher Ray Hall; seven great grandchildren: Christopher Logan Hall, Ruma Kate Hall, Hannah Nicole Winburn, Adalyn Dawn Hall, Jayce Riley Hall, Axel Mason Miller and Diesel Cole Miller.
In addition to his parents, James Riley was preceded in death by six brothers: Troy, Hauley, Cecil, Raymond, John and Ed Hall; two sisters: Feenie Creswell and Fannie Goble.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, September 12, 2025 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Dwayne Raines officiationg. Burial will follow in the Riley Hall Cemetery, Allen, KY and visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home.
