James Donald Caudill

James Donald Caudill, age 87, of Lackey, KY, husband of Alberta Caudill, died Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born May 1, 1937, in Lackey, KY a son of the late Cardo and Macie Lewis Caudill. James Donald Caudill was a retired employee of the National Mines.

He is survived by his loving companion of 69 years: Alberta Caudill; two sons, Greg Caudill, Lackey, KY, Don Caudill, Naples, FL; two daughters; Deborah Spears, Paintsville, KY, Regina Caudill, Lackey, KY; one brother, Denver Caudill, Knox, IN; seven grandchildren, Brent Caudill, McKee, KY, Misti Hand, Gillette WY, Kevin Thacker, Prestonsburg, KY, Melissa Thacker, Harold, KY, Amanda Gibson, Martin, KY. Jason Bentley, Maytown, KY, Rodney Bentley, David, KY; sixteen great grandchildren; Ethan Caudill, Gavin Caudill, Colton Hand, Jarred Keene, Macy Thacker, Rylee Thacker, Maddox Thacker, Easton Thacker, Mathew Tackett, Curissa Tackett, Aiden Gibson, Barrett Gibson, Collin Bentley, Noah Bentley, Payton Bentley and Rodney Bentley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Sonny Caudill, Delmar Caudill, Billy Paul Caudill and four sisters; Margret Ann Caudill, Wilma Gene Conley, Bobbie Joyce Childress and Wanda Ulicny.

Funeral service for James Donald Caudill will be conducted Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Wendell Crager and Willie Duff officiating. A burial will follow in the Lackey Cemetery, Lackey, KY. Visitation is after 1 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Hall Funeral Home.
