Irene (Tackett) Lee

Irene Tackett Lee, age 79, of Beaver, KY, widow of the late Johnnie Denton Lee, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born August 8, 1944 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Jim and Hannah Jones Tackett.

She is survived by one son: Eddie Leon (Shirl) Lee, Pikeville, KY; two daughters: Amy (Clell) Scarberry, Cotton Dale, AL, Pamela Kaye (Keith) Tackett, Beaver, KY two brothers: Donald Ray Tackett, Canton, MI, Danny Tackett, Ligon, KY; one sister: Ethel Faye Johnson, Southgate, MI; five grandchildren: Sherri Little, Brandon Tackett, Daniel Tackett, Corey Thornsberry, Aiden Scarberry and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Irene was preceded in death by one grandchild: Nekia Hammond and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church, Teaberry, KY with the old regular baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Tackett-Lee Family Cemetery, Ligon, KY and visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the church.
