Herbert Keith Swiger

Herbert Keith Swiger, age 74, of Van Lear, KY, husband of Darlene Pratt Swiger, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  He was born June 24, 1950 in Martin, KY, a son of the late Herbert L. and Kitty Spurlock Swiger.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pikeville, KY and owner of Western Construction.

In addition to his wife, Darlene, he is survived by one son; Chad Swiger, Versailles, KY, two daughters; Sarah (Jason) Anderson, Georgetown, KY and Kitty (Jacob) McAlpin, Van Lear, KY, two brothers; James A. (Patsy) Swiger and Mark Swiger, two sisters; Amelia D. (Pete) Shanley and Linda C. Vance, four grandchildren; Alexis, Lincoln, Andalyn and Leah. A host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Anthony Quentin Swiger and one sister; Sally Swiger Conn.

Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Jenny Wiley Convention Center, 75 Theatre Court, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m.
