Gordon Leslie Bartrum

Gordon Leslie Bartrum, age 78 of McDowell, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Hazard ARH, Hazard, KY.  He was born November 9, 1945 in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Emory Zida and Geraldine Hess Bartrum.  He was a US Navy Veteran and a coal truck driver.

He is survived by two daughters; Robin Bartrum, Eastern, KY and Melissa (Darrell) Bentley, Martin, KY, best friend and mother of his daughters; Iodella Bartrum, "adopted" daughter; Dee Bentley, five brothers; Walter and Tom Bartrum, both of Martin, KY, John Bartrum, Eastern, KY, Bat Bartrum, St. Louis, MO and James Bartrum, Huber Heights, OH, two sisters; Sharon Melching, Martin, KY and Minnie Neace, Dayton, OH, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother; Jerry Bartrum and one sister; Shirley White.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in the Click Family Cemetery, Click Br., Martin, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
