Gary Wendell McCoy

 Gary W. McCoy, widower of Linda Sue Howell McCoy passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. He was born on March 6, 1945 to the late Vaughn Lee McCoy and Elsie Johnson McCoy in Floyd County, Kentucky. He worked as a barber for fifty plus years.

He is survived by his two sons, Gary Wayne McCoy and Jonathan Lee McCoy (Tara Sloan McCoy); one brother, Tommy McCoy; one sister, Lavone Johnson; four grandchildren, Gary “Addison” McCoy (Grace), Sailor Olivia McCoy, Dax Ryder McCoy and Poet Grace McCoy.

He is preceded in passing by both his wife and parents.

Visitation will be held at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a celebration of life beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Hall Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 with Chuck Hall and Roger Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Newman Cemetery in Hi Hat, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wayne McCoy, Jonathan Lee McCoy, Gary “Addison” McCoy and Dax Ryder McCoy.
