Garnis Martin

          Garnis Martin age 85 of Bean Station, Tennessee, formerly of Floyd County Kentucky,  passed away on August 22, 2022. 

      He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Martin, his mother and father, Miles and Evelyn Martin of Floyd County Kentucky, two brothers, three sisters and one half brother. 

     Garnis is survived by 2 daughters, Kim Warren of Virginia, and Tammy Sparkman of Tennessee, 2 grandsons, Josh Warren of North Carolina, and Jeremy Warren of Virginia, 2 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, two sisters, two brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews.

   This past year Garnis struggled with multiple health issues. Garnis was much loved by his family and will be sadly missed by all. 

      As a coal miner, Garnis worked hard all his life. He was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone that asked. Now he is at peace and gone to his eternal rest. May we all meet again one day. 

     Visitation will be at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky at 6pm to 8pm Wednesday evening, funeral service will be at 7pm with Shawn Slone of Prestonburg Church of Christ presiding. Josh Warren will read the Eulogy. There will be a private graveside service Thursday.
