Gail Click Osborne, age 95, of Martin, KY, widow of Harold B. "Flint" Osborne, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Hazard ARH, Hazard, KY. She was born September 4, 1929, in Maytown, KY, the daughter of the late James S. and Bertha Allen Click. Gail was a woman of many talents—she could sew or make anything with her hands and was known for having the best fried chicken and dumplings (and everything else) around. She raised beautiful flowers and a bountiful garden. She understood the importance of traditions, and Sunday dinner and good food were her way of keeping the family close. Above all, Gail loved her husband, son, grandchildren, and family with all her heart.
In her later years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church at Blue River and previously Salisbury United Methodist for several decades. She enjoyed being a part of her community and was a member of Martin Homemakers, the Eastern Star, and several women’s groups. She graduated from Maytown High School and Louisville Beauty School. She worked as a hairdresser and later as a wonderful homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Harold Gordon (Rita) Osborne of Martin, KY, and one brother, Wm. Barry (Debbie) Click of David, KY, two grandchildren, Kimberly Whitt (John) and Bryan Osborne, and three great-grandchildren, South (Alli), Natalie (Aaron Dyche), and Caroline Whitt.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Gordon and Ira Rodney Click, and one sister, Billa Faye Click.
She was the family's "rock" and will be sadly missed, but she will stay in her family's heart forever.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
