Father Thomas Richard Carroll Jr.

Father Thomas Richard Carroll Jr., age 83, of Prestonsburg, KY, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY.  He was born July 10, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Thomas Richard and Ellen Kogozsek Carroll.

He was an alumnus of Duquesne University, a member of the Holy Ghost Order and Father, prior to becoming a Piarist Priest in 1989.  Tom was a Catholic Priest and founder of the Piarist School, Hager Hill, KY, formerly of Martin, KY.

He is survived by one brother; James "Jim" Carroll, Pittsburgh, PA, children at heart; Mackenzie Sanders and Kyndal Sanders, Prestonsburg, KY.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother; Terry Carroll and one sister; Catherine Marie Little.

Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at The Piarist School Gymnasium, 7279 S KY RT 321, Hagerhill, KY, visitation will be after 10 AM Tuesday at the School Gymnasium.
