Eula (Storie) Stumbo

        Eula Storie Stumbo, age 97 of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Wayne L. Stumbo, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born May 5, 1921, in Drift, KY, a daughter of the late William M. and Amerzee McCloud Storie. She was a homemaker and a member of the Maytown First Baptist Church.

        She is survived by three sons: Wayne (Mollie) Stumbo Jr., Hiltons, VA, Nicky (Brenda) Stumbo, McDowell, KY, Danny Stumbo, Isonville, KY; two daughters: Gwendolyn Stumbo Hammonds and Brenda Gail Jones both of Prestonsburg, KY; five sisters: Dixie (Orville) Turner, Prestonsburg, KY, Joyce (Hollis) Cable, Hampton, TN, Helen Nicola, Tucson, AZ, Bonnie Burchwell, Lynchburg, OH, Frances (Bud) Stapleton, FL; nineteen grandchildren, forty three great grandchildren and twenty two great great grandchildren.

        In addition to her husband and parents, Eula was preceded in death by one son: Michael David Stumbo; one daughter: Sandra Nadine Wooten; four brothers: Ted, Jack, Doug, Danny Storie; two sisters: Ola Patton and Mae Moore and one son-in-law: Harold Hammonds.

        Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY with Bob Varney officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucy Hall Cemetery, McDowell, KY and visitation will be after 12 noon Monday at Hall Funeral Home.
