Ernest Campbell Jr.

Ernest Campbell Jr., age 69, of Virgie, KY, formerly of Prestonsburg, KY, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  He was born December 12, 1953 in Floyd County, KY, a son of the late Ernest and Lucy Adams Campbell.  He was a self-employed business man with Campbell’s Plastics and formerly employed with American Standard.

He is survived by his loving companion; Avonell “Nellie” Johnson, Virgie, KY, one daughter; April Woods, East Point, KY, three grandchildren; Kelli (Jesse) Lykins, Katie (Camber) Marsillett and Adam Woods, two great grandchildren; Luke and Logan Lykins, very special niece; Leslie Minix, step son; Will (Natosha) King, Clarksville, TN one brother; Tandy Campbell, Prestonsburg, KY, two sisters; Wilma Campbell and Sandy Campbell both of Prestonsburg, KY.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Patricia Ann Hunter Campbell, son; Ernest Jeffery Campbell, three brothers; Ellis "Bo", Estill, Benny Campbell,  two sisters; Vina Sue Branham and Brenda Kay Limon.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
