Emma Lou (Tackett) Allen

Emma Lou Allen, age 62, (she claimed 52) of Betsy Layne, KY, widow of Burton Allen, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, KY. She was born June 17, 1958 in Pikeville KY, a daughter of Sarah Hall Tackett and the late Kenis Tackett. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of the House of Prayer and Worship, Shelbiana, KY.

In addition to her mother Sarah, she is survived by one son: Brandon (Christina) Tackett, Stambaugh, KY, two grandchildren; McKenna Tackett, Cameron Tackett and "like a sister," Debra Thompson, Pikeville, KY as well as a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and father and two brothers: Terry and Rex Tackett.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Ray Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation will be 6-10 p.m. Thursday and 10-10 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY
