Ella Faye Chaffins

Ella Faye Clemons Chaffins, age 90, of Garrett, KY, widow of Dempsey Chaffins, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY.  She was born May 17, 1935 in Garrett, KY, a daughter of the late George and Ellen Hayes Clemons.  She was a member of the Hindman Methodist Church and an artisan quilt maker.

She is survived by one daughter; Saundra Dee (David) Shelton, Winchester, KY, special care takers; Diane Ingram and Hatty Jones.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Cildrea Lynn Wells, one brother; Delmas Clemons and one sister, Alma Rose.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with McCoy Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Combs Cemetery, Mousie, KY, visitation is from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home.
