Edith (Howard) Bolen

Edith Bolen, age 74 of Auburn, departed from this world on her Heavenly journey on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her Auburn home with her family by her side.  She was born May 27, 1949 in Handshoe, Kentucky to Ollie “Jack” and Nora Ellen (Coburn) Howard. 

Edith married Bennie Bolen, Jr. on April 9, 1966 in Raccoon, Kentucky.  He preceded her in death on November 3, 2001. She was the manager of the Auburn McDonalds for several years before working at Magnavox, first in Garrett and then in Columbia City before retiring in 2002.  Mrs. Bolen was a wonderful lady, sharing Jesus with everyone that she met.  She will be greatly missed. 

Her survivors include Son and daughter-in-law; Matthew and Ruby Bolen of Auburn, Son; Aaron Bolen of Auburn, Sister; Glenda Howard of Versailles, Kentucky and many loving nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Mrs. Bolen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Bennie Bolen, one son; Bennie David Bolen, one brother and one sister; Jackie Lynn Howard and Kathleen Wierman.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Georgie Bolen Cemetery, Rock Fork, Garrett, KY, visitation is from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
