Eddie Arnold Gayheart

Eddie Arnold Gayheart, age 71, of Prestonsburg, KY, husband of Betty Woods Gayheart, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1948 in McDowell, KY, a son of the late Clay and Amy Moore Gayheart. He was a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jeffery Clay Gayheart, Prestonsburg, KY; one daughter, Kari (Mark) Shepherd, Prestonsburg; one brother, James Gayheart, Prestonsburg; two sisters, Peggy (Kennie) Jarrell and Tobey Collins both of Prestonsburg; two grandchildren, Alex Shepherd and Ryan Gayheart, special grandchild, Charleigh Cate “Baby Cake” Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild: Austin Gayheart.

Funeral service for Mr. Gayheart will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday, February 13 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Tracy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Gayheart Family Cemetery, Slick Rock, Prestonsburg, KY. Visitation is after 6 PM Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
