Douglas Smith

Douglas Smith, age 88, of Allen, KY, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  He was born August 28, 1936 in Wayland, KY, a son of the late Virgil and Rena Slone Smith.  He was a member of the Allen Baptist Church and a retired school teacher.

He is survived by one brother, David Smith, Langley, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Donald, Dareld, Daniel and Dingus Smith, one sister; Delores Smith Conn.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Arnold Turner Jr. and Dwayne Raines officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
