Dorothy Ellen (Burchett) Harris

Dorothy Ellen Harris, age 91, of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Robert Eugene Harris, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at her residence.  She was born September 13, 1933 in Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter of the late Hiram Clayton and Crissie Edith Daniels Burchett.  She was a member of the St. Martha Catholic Church, a member of the Eastern Kentucky Board of Realty and a retired realtor.

She is survived by two daughters; Ellen Lynne (Jackie Pack) Harris, Prestonsburg, KY and Lisa Suzanne Harris, Ashland, KY, four grandchildren; Delora Lynne Holbrook, Robert Boyd Holbrook, Kristi Stephens and Leah Hagy, six great grandchildren; Leon Day Holbrook, Bonnie Beau Holbrook, Thomas Spears, Morgan Spears, Makayla Spears and Nolan Hagy, two great-great grandchildren; Ellie and Bennett Spears.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother; Hiram Clayton Burchett, Jr. and one sister; Margaret Sue Holden.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday, July 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Martha Catholic Church, Prestonsburg, KY.  Visitation is from 5 until 9 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY and again on Monday at the St. Martha Catholic Church from 11 a.m. until the time of service, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
