Donald Ray Tackett

Donald Ray Tackett, age 78, of Grethel, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  He was born June 10, 1945 in Pikeville, KY, the son of the late Freel and Rutha Frasure Tackett.  He was a retired coal miner.

Donald is survived by two daughters; Christa (George) Campbell, Pikeville, KY and Donna Gully, Galesburg, IL, his significant other; Jenna Boyd, five grandchildren; Justin Campbell, Katie Campbell, Tyler Branson, Tara Branson and Landon Gully, five great grandchildren; Ayslin, Sutton, Grayson, Lucille and Molly.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Elma McKinney and Dora Lou Roberts.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Clark and Shadd Walters officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tackett and Hamilton Cemetery, Grethel, KY, visitation is after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Campbell, Tyler Branson, Jody Roberts, Michael Roberts, Steve McKinney, Jacob Case, Chris Spears and Jacob Hatcher.
