Donald Osborne Obituary

  Donald Wilhelm Osborne, age 94, of Prestonsburg, KY, widower of Drema May Osborne, died Friday, September 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1930 in Hite, KY a son of the late Maryland "Crow" and Allie Taylor Osborne. Donald was a retired PostMaster and member of the Community United Methodist Church, Prestonsburg, KY.

  Survivors include two sons, Marty (Julie) Osborne and Donald Gavin Osborne, all of Prestonsburg, two  sisters; Julie Delores Stewart, San Antonio, TX, and Shannon Wells, Oshkosh, WI,  two grandchildren; Lloyd Jackson (Hanna Poffenbarger) Osborne and Clara Martin Osborne.

  In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Osborne Lester, one son in law; Herman Lester,  four brothers; Ronald Osborne, Franklin D. Osborne, James M. Osborne, Stephen A. Anderson, four sisters; Winifred O. Hale, Janice O. Paul, Shirley Barker, Mary Jean Johnson, and two grandchildren; Max Elliott Lester and Robert Gavin Osborne.

  Funeral service for Donald Wilhelm Osborne will be conducted Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 3 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Leslie Robinette officiating, Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation is from 1 PM until 3 PM Sunday at Hall Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Julie Osborne Lester Scholarship Fund at Big Sandy Community College.
