David Ray York age 54 of Prestonsburg, KY formerly of Harold, KY passes from this life on November 20, 2021, at Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. He was born on October 7, 1967 to Sonja Carol & Ronnie McKinney and the late David York.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Garfield & Anna Laura Castle, his paternal grandparents, Oliver & Margaret McKinney. Several uncles, Henry Moyer, Banner Conn, John Paul Osborne & James Bates. Several aunts, Deloris Moyer, Shelby Jean Conn & Jacquline Bates.
He is survived by one sister, Mara Ann McKinney, Betsy Layne, KY, one aunt, Mildred Osborne, Cardington, OH, one uncle, Jimmy (Rita) Castle, Cardington, OH, one son, Marshall (Hallie) York, Nicholasville, KY.
He was a member of the Masons of John W Hall of Martin, KY. He was a member of the Masons of Heart Lodge of Nicholasville, KY. He was a member of the Widow Sons Night Watchman Chapter of Olive Hill, KY & served 4 years as President. He was a member of Kentucky State Widow Sons & served 3 years as President.
He was retired from a Postal Contractor Company where he was a Postal Transporter.
He enjoyed spending time with family & friends. He loved to socialize, fish, watch hunting & fishing shows and old tv shows.
He attended Boldman Free Will Baptist Church when he was younger with his grandpa, Garfield Castle.
He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation will be after 5:00 pm Monday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00 pm with a Widow's Sons service to follow.
