Claudine Johns

Mary Claudine Johns, age 91, of Stanville, KY, widow of Ferdie C. Johns, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Riverview Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, KY.  She was born May 13, 1931 in Clay County, WV, a daughter of the late John Eckus Carder and Myrtle Mae Radcliff Carder.  She was a member of the Boldman Freewill Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the Rebeckah's.  She was retired from Betsy Layne High School as a cafeteria worker.

She is survived by three daughters; Gayle (Terry) Hall, Printer, KY, Sue (Steven) Muse, Pauley's Island, SC and Wanda (John) Vinson, Mt. Sterling, KY, six grandchildren; Adam Douglas Hall, Travis Johns Hall, John Garrett Vinson, Rachel Leigh Vinson, Caleb Johns Muse and Leslie Paige Muse, seven great grandchildren; Perry Edward Vinson, Brenden Muse, Zoey Paige Muse, Lilly Grace Hall, Karly Faith Hall, Winston Henry Hall and Brooks Douglas Hall.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death five brothers; Ray, John Wesley, Ralph, George and Hobert Carder, three sisters; Betty Kinder, Wanda Baldwin and Glendora Morton.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Boyd officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 4 p.m. Sunday and all day Monday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
