Clark Shelton

Clark Shelton, age 82, of McDowell, KY, widower of Alice Jean "Poogie" Shelton, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born October 15, 1941, in Drift, KY, a son of the late Eddie & Nellie Martin Shelton. He was a retired Highway Engineer & US Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons: Keith Shelton, Florence, KY, Stephen J. Hicks, Langley, KY, Kevin M. Shelton, McDowell, KY; three brothers: Teddy Shelton, McDowell, KY, Bobby Ray Shelton, Elkhart, IN, Pat Shelton, Versailles, KY; five sisters: Georgia Faye Kidd, Drift, KY, Bernadine Schrader, Auxier, KY, Diana Price, Drift, KY, Mary Combs, McDowell, KY, Teresa Harris, Drift, KY; and five grandchildren: Selton Matthew Hicks, Katelin Shelton, Sophia Shelton, Mickey Taylor, and Coy Taylor

In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by one daughter: Amy Elizabeth Shelton Amburgey; two brothers: Cecil & Russell Shelton; and two sisters: Alberta Shannon, Emogene Jones

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Drift Pentecostal Church, Drift, KY with Ted Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Drift Cemetery, Drift, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, at 12:00 noon at the church, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home
