Clara Hale Friar, age 89, of Allen, KY, widow of Jack Friar, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence. She was born October 18, 1934 in Honaker, KY, a daughter of the late Glen Allen Hale and Elizabeth Howell Hale. She was a member of the Harold Church of Christ and a retired school teacher.
She is survived by one sister; Glenda Layne, Cottontown, TN, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers; Mattison "Buck", Jack, Larry and Kane Hale, one sister; Bessie Maynard.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Cemetery, Harold, KY, visitation is after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Clara's Honor may be made to, Betsy Layne DAV Chapter 169, Floyd County Animal Shelter or the Harold Church of Christ.
