Obituary

Christine Nickles, age 91, of Dema, KY, wife of Leonard Nickles, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at her residence. She was born January 2, 1931 in Dema, KY a daughter of the late Miles and Alta Layne Hall. She was a retired postmaster.

Along with her husband, she is survived by one son: Ronald (Paula) Nickels, Dema, KY; Two daughters: Janet (Paul) Michini, Louisville, KY, and Judy (Deffort Hall) Tackett, Topmost, KY; Four brothers: Charles "Bear" (Joan) Hall, Dema, KY, James V. Hall, Dema, KY, Jerry M. (Judy) Hall, Frankfort, KY, and Garnis R. (Sally) Hall, Shelby, OH; Three sisters: Eleanor Bettac, Shelby, OH, Janice Bowman, Hindman, KY, and Priscilla (Roy) Huff, Dema, KY; five Grandchildren: Brian (Candace) Nickles, Greg (Kimberly) Slone, Eric (Kellie) Fugate, Mack Tackett, and Andrea (Tony) Scott; and Four Great-grandchildren: Kyle Slone, Tyler Slone, Clay (McKenzie) Nickles, and Dylan Slone.

In addition to her parents, Christine is preceded in death by three brothers: William Edgar Hall, Glenn Darrell Hall, and Maynard Hall and one sister: Fonda Kaye Sparkman.

Funeral Service will be conducted Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY, with Curtie Hall and Daniel Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery, Dema, KY. Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Saturday at Hall Funeral Home.
