Charlene (Conley) Adkins

Charlene Adkins, age 70, of Hueysville, KY, wife of Wayne Adkins, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  She was born April 19, 1951 in Floyd County, a daughter of Minnie Prater Conley, Huesyville, KY and the late Charles Conley.  She was a member of the Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Church and a retired custodian of the Floyd County School System.

In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by one son; Shannon (Miranda) Adkins, Hueysville, KY, one daughter; Mindy (Bill) Collett, Middlesboro, KY, three sisters; Barbara (Jimmy) Lawson, Garrett, KY, Jean (Thomas) Graham, St. Louis, MO and Betty (David) Skidmore, Montgomery Co., KY, four grandchildren; Caitlin Collett, Austin Blanton, Zack (Katie) Blanton and Aubree Stumbo, one great grandchild; Nataleigh Owens.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother; Henry Clifton “Joe” Conley, one sister; Mable Morris and one brother-in-law; James “Red” Morris.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Manns, Larry Patton and Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery, Prater Fork, Hueysville, KY, visitation is from 6 until 10 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
