Chalmer "Ike" Rogers Martin

Chalmer “Ike” Rogers Martin, age 80, of Wellington, KY, formerly of Floyd County, husband of Della Martin, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was born October 5, 1938 in Goose Creek, KY, a son of the late Garland S and Nora Pratt Martin. He served and retired from the U.S. Airforce.

In addition to his wife Della, he is survived by five sons: Rondell L. Martin, San Antonio, TX, Jamerson G. Martin, Richmond, KY, Nepolion (Audrey) Lewis, Cornersville, TN, Earkmon Lewis, Meniffee County, KY, Christopher Hunt, Mt. Sterling, KY, Gregory Isaac,  one daughter; Eveanna Hunt, Lawrenceburg, KY, three sisters; Daphne Kay (Bennie) Moore, Dana Fay (Bill) Purvis, June Martin Martin, four grandchildren; Caleb Martin, Andrea (Maken) Hubbard, Savannah Lewis and William Elliott, two great grandchildren; Aria Hubbard and Greyson Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Thomas Elbert Martin and Gaylord Garson Martin, two sisters; Glema Gay Moore and Fonda Joan Duff.

Funeral service for “Ike” will be conducted on Saturday, September 14 at 1:00 pm in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Willie Duff officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation after 5:00 pm Thursday and all day Friday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
