Carlie Mae (Barnett) Blackburn

    Carlie Mae Barnett Blackburn, age 86, of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Jerry Lee Blackburn, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at her residence. She was born December 13, 1937 in Martin, KY a daughter of the late Quince and Raney Calhoun Barnett. Carla was a former waitress at Jerry's Restaurant and member of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, KY.

    She is survived by two sisters, Bessie (Herb) Dingus  and Juanita Barnett (Oscar) Rice, all of Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

    In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Dean Conn, two brothers; Cledith and Willard "Bub" Barnett, and one sister; Donna J. Turner.

    Funeral service for Carlie Mae Barnett Blackburn will be conducted Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Dr. Mark Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery, Martin. Visitation is from 10 AM until 2 PM Saturday at Hall Funeral Home.
