Candra Denae (Blackburn) Alaniz

Candra Denae Blackburn Alaniz, age 38, of Prestonsburg, KY, beloved wife of the late Adam Alaniz, passed away Saturday,May 9, 2026. She was born October 6, 1987 in Ashland, KY, to James A. and Ramona Blackburn. She was a member of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church.

  In addition to her parents she is survived by one son: Logan Shepherd, Prestonsburg,KY, five daughters: Trinity Carr and Adalyn Alaniz, both of Prestonsburg, KY; Lyllynn Alaniz of Jenkins, KY; Cheyanne Alaniz and Ashley Alaniz, both of Georgetown, KY; one brother: James Ethan Blackburn, of Lexington, KY; maternal grandmother, Peggy Wright Hall; and paternal grandmother, Margaret Spurlock Blackburn; a host of aunts, uncles, and family who will mourn her passing. 

   In addition to her husband, she is proceeded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard “Dickie” Hall, and paternal grandfather, Adrian “Abo” Blackburn. 

  Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark Tackett officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
