Brenda Joyce (Wiley) Owsley

Brenda Joyce Owsley, age 79, of  Estill, KY, widow of James Edward Owsley, died Thursday, April 24, 2025 in the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. She was born May 23, 1945 In Floyd County, KY a daughter of the late Roy Eugene and Audrey Slone Wiley. Brenda was a retired butcher and cook, a member of the Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Church, Estill, KY, and a member of the DAVA.

    She is survived by two sons, Dwayne Scott (Melinda) Owsley, Richmond, KY, Derrick Ray (Lori) Owsley, Yakima, WA, one brother, Marvin Douglas (Judy) Wiley, Estill, KY, six grandchildren; Christopher (Jessica) Owsley, Ryan Owsley, Samantha Lauren (Jeremy) Draper, Blake Owsley, Tia (Richard Hunt) Owsley, Coleman Owsley, three step grandchildren; Josh (Brandi) Ward, Jordyn Ward, Jaimie (Daniel) Winkler, and 13 great grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy "Birdie" Wiley and Rodney Wiley.

   Funeral service for Brenda Joyce Owsley will be conducted Monday, April 28, 2025 at 1 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Jeremy Draper officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation is from 4 until 8 PM Sunday at Hall Funeral Home.
